John Watkins Band

John Watkins was exposed to the sultry sounds of the blues as a youngster, and later taught himself how to play bass and drums.  John began his blues playing career in 1969 playing with Buddy Guy at Theresa's Lounge in Chicago, Illinois.  John went on to play with other greats such as Koko Taylor, Son Seals, Junior Wells, Willie Dixon, James Cotton, and John's uncle Jimmy Johnson.  John's debut album "Here I Am was made in France in 1984.  John formed his own band in 1987.  On October 16, 2016, John was inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame.
